If you’re a regular visitor to this site, you already know our very own Tom Holland is a legend among horror fans for directing the original ‘80s classics Fright Night and Child’s Play, as well as episodes of Tales from the Crypt and Masters of Horror. But serious fans of Holland’s work also know he’s worn many hats in the movie biz, with a long and strong track record as a screenwriter; he’s penned scripts for big-studio horror hits like Fright Night and Psycho II, Stephen King adaptations Thinner and The Langoliers, and cult favorites like The Beast Within, The Initiation of Sarah, Scream for Help and Class of 1984.
More recently, Tom has embarked on an exciting new phase of his genre career: he recently completed his very first novel The Notch, a supernatural thriller about a mute ten-year-old boy with miraculous healing powers, which may include the ability to bring the dead back to life. When a video depicting one of these miracles goes viral, the story becomes a race against time as people with their own nefarious agendas try to track down and gain control of this mysterious wonder-working child.
Acclaimed genre publishers Cemetery Dance will release The Notch as a limited-edition hardcover – signed and personalized by the author – that true Tom Holland fans (and fans of supernatural horror and thriller fiction in general) will definitely want in their permanent collection.
Limited to a one-time printing of 1,000 copies and retailing for $40, this edition of The Notch is printed on 60# acid-free paper, Smyth sewn and bound in full-cloth with colored head and tail bands, hot foil stamping on the front boards and spine, full-color endpapers and a full-color dust jacket.
