Dario Argento is the Italian film director, producer, screenwriter and architect of horror. Argento has announced he will be attending one of the horror communities most coveted conventions, Texas Frightmare Weekend.
Things are bigger in Texas because this is big news! Dario Argento is best known for his work in the horror film genre, particularly in the subgenre known as Giallo, and for his vast influence on modern horror.
Argento’s major break happened when Sergio Leone allowed him to write the story for Once Upon a Time in the West. He later directed several classics in the genre like his first movie The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Cat o’ Nine Tails, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Deep Red, Tenebre, Suspiria, Phenomena, Inferno, Opera and many, many more. He’s an accomplished producer too as evident in Lamberto Bava‘s Demons and Demons 2.
