With the recent news that Gemr’s new docuseries “Collection Complete” is set to premiere tonight online and in Los Angeles at Screamfest Horror Film Festival (we first reported on that here), the fast-growing online collector community and marketplace is also celebrating seasonal spookiness with a giveaway of 10 solid horror titles on Blu-ray. Wanna’ win them?
Curated by “Collection Complete” creators Carlee Baker and Sean Decker and inspired by the new “Halloween” arriving in theaters on October 19th from Universal Pictures, the ten pack of Blu-rays similarly celebrates the evolution of horror, featuring five respected remakes/reboots/sequels and the classic films which spawned them.
Comprised of director John Carpenter’s 1982 retool of the 1951 sc-fi classic “The Thing” and its direct prequel, director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.’s 2011 film “The Thing”, Kurt Neumann’s 1958 Vincent Price-starring feature “The Fly” and David Cronenberg’s astounding 1986 remake of the same name, filmmaker Takashi Shimizu’s 2002 J-horror flick “Ju-on: The Grudge” and his own Sarah Michelle Gellar-starring 2004 American remake “The Grudge”, and director Tobe Hooper’s infamous 1974 film “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and 2006’s reimagining “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”, Gemr’s Horrifying Hair-Raising Reboot Giveaway is sure to please the most discerning of genre fans.
How to win? Simply go “here” to join Gemr’s Movie & TV Memorabilia Club (and geek out with like-minded horror fans and collectors in the process). The contest is open until 10/31.
