Despite the uneven tone of the final product, the relationship between Will Smith’s Deadshot and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn in 2016’s SUICIDE SQUAD was a strange highlight. Now Smith is expressing a keen interest in making an appearance in Harley Quinn’s upcoming GOTHAM CITY SIRENS spinoff film, and dammit, he should get it. – Inverse reported.  And we think it just may work!

A GOTHAM CITY SIRENS movie is currently in the works at Warner Bros. This popular female villian/antihero team-up made up of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman started in the comics but has never had a live action portrayal. Artist Bosslogic has drafted up an original concept of what this team up may look like. The picture shows photoshop concepts of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn along with Odette Annable as Catwoman and Megan Fox as Poison Ivy. These casting decisions are up in the air and the designs are just fan concepts but they provide a fun look at what these live action characters could look like.

It is rumored that the Sirens will also be going up against the classic female heroine team “Birds Of Prey“. If this happens this is going to be another movie like SUICIDE  SQUAD that will introduce several new characters into the DC movie universe. Most critics agree that this strategy has not worked out great so far but maybe Sirens will be the turning point.
Birds of Prey originated in 1996 as a partnership between Oracle (Barbara Gordon) and Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) but has expanded to include additional superheroines. Shown are Black Canary, Huntress (Helena Bertinelli) and Thorn (Rhosyn “Rose” Forrest) on the cover of issue 79 April 2005.

Fingers are tightly crossed about this exciting news! And now the tease of Will Smith possibly as Deadshot increases the intrigue. Will commented saying “I’d definitely love to be in it,” Smith told MTV International. “I love Margot Robbie, I would do, like, anything she wants to do.”
