Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to Adam D’Alba’s paranormal horror script INFINITY REEL.

Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen producing the INFINITY REEL and the three hail from 21 Laps, responsible for the recent cerebral sci-fi ARRIVAL, and are behind the breakout phenom “Stranger Things” for which the second season is currently in production.

According to Hollywood Reporter, INFINITY REEL “follows a paranormal investigator who’s drawn to a small town that has gone through bizarre phenomena. These instances have an eerie connection with the investigator’s own past.”

This is certainly a great pairing for D’Alba, a relative newcomer, who is also adapting the short film THE MAIDEN and who wrote the pilot for “The Castle” being developed for A&E. Expect to see more from D’Alba in the future, as his name is already getting around the business.

For 21 Laps, this adds to a growing catalog of films due to release in the next year, including KODACHROME, KIN, FIST FIGHT, TABLE 19, and THE DARKEST MINDS.

We will keep you up to date as INFINITY continues to develop with news of a director and casting choices.
