There may not be anything better in the history of television than a good old horror series.  From the black-and-white terrors that Rod Serling introduced to us to the gut-wrenching finale of a particular Showtime series that ended far too soon recently, we asked the staff of Terror Time to name their favorite adult horror television series that are no longer producing new episodes.

Haven’t seen a few of these?  Do yourself a favor and check out the trailers below – you may just find the show that you end up binge watching and losing an entire weekend to!

Jason Thorson:  CARNIVALE, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ANGEL.

Justin Hamelin:  PENNY DREADFUL.  It’s still too soon for me not to get pissed off about the open-ended story lines and character development that was never taken care of.  I loved that show so much.  I also really enjoyed Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ DRACULA. Oh and, of course, THE X-FILES.

Michael Christopher Jones:  MONSTERS and TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE.

Ian Donegan:  I forgot about MONSTERS.  For some reason, the episode “My Zombie Lover” terrified me as a kid.  MASTERS OF HORROR and FEAR ITSELF, as well as TALES FROM THE CRYPT.  Always and forever.

Steve McGinnis:  HANNIBAL.

Pricilla Kumar:  DEXTER and SIX FEET UNDER.  I liked FRIDAY THE 13TH THE SERIES and FREDDY’S NIGHTMARES.

Howard Gorman:  I really liked a series called INVASION with William Fichtner and Tyler Labine.  Sadly, it only lasted one season.

Candice Dittman Berryman:  SIX FEET UNDER was fabulous!  TRUE BLOOD, too.

Brad Slaton:  THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

So while it’s only Tuesday and the weekend still seems so, so far away, do yourself a favor and pick up a season (or two or three) of one of the aforementioned series and binge watch some really creepy television!
