“Game of Thrones” fans gave a unified cry of sorrow when it was announced that the seventh season of the hit series wouldn’t arrive until summer of 2017. Since the production needed more wintery looks for its locations, filming had to wait to begin until September of this year. And if that wasn’t enough, they announced that we would be getting fewer episodes than normal as the story began to move into its final act. Hold on because a full episode marathon is on the way!
However, if you’re suffering from withdrawals and need your fill of Westeros, HBO has you covered. Once you’re finished with the holiday festivities with your family, you can tune into the network as it airs all of the current episodes of the series.
The marathon starts from December 26th and running through December 31st, HBO will air, in order, one season per day. You can follow the progression of the Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryen’s from their introductions to the exciting sixth season finale of last June.
This is also a great chance to revisit or introduce a friend to the series, and a great bonding time for those who are on vacation for the holidays!
Considering what has been 2016, I can’t think of a better way to finish out the year and introduce a new one!
“Game of Thrones” will play from December 26th to December 31st on HBO2!
