New Leatherface Poster Is The Creepiest One Yet
Leatherface is coming and he’s dragging his chainsaw along for the ride.
The new Leatherface movie has released a new poster ahead of it’s September 21st release on DirecTV and limited theaters on Oct 20th. Hopes are still high for this film among the Terror Time staff though we assume the reason it’s taken so long to be released speaks to problems. The film will also be making appearances at film festivals this year as well.
The film stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, Jessica Madsen, Finn Jones, James Bloor, Nicole Andrews, Julian Kostov, and Sam Coleman.
LEATHERFACE was filmed last spring in Bulgaria and directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury previously spoke about the link between their film and the original, as well as the 2006 prequel saying:
“In LEATHERFACE, we’re actually more connected to the Tobe Hooper’s TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE. The main difference with THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING is that we go back further in the character’s origins, telling a part of its teenage years. Basically, we could define our movie as a naturalist, brutal and disillusioned road-movie, with a quite new narrative structure in THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE universe…”

With the loss of TCM creator Tobe Hooper we hope this will make die hard fans happy as he served as Exec Producer on this film and it was his last project.
