JUSTICE LEAGUE is getting closer! There used to be a time, not long ago when the superhero character Aquaman was the most made fun of character ever. All that changed when Zack Snyder posted a picture of Jason Momoa in full costume and the laughter stopped. Which each new picture or quick footage that appears on the internet, the growing list of fans can’t wait to see more. No one is making fun of him anymore.
Aquafans got a quick look of Momoa in action thanks to a 15-second teaser before the trailer. This type of marketing is happening more and more, an announcement of a trailer before it debuts. This one, however, gives us what we want, Aquaman in action.
Riding on the heels of a video Snyder posted of test effects of the character interacting underwater, the teaser shows Batman tossing Aquaman his famous trident and the king of Atlantis fighting off the incoming waves. Fans get a quick glimpse of Momoa in full costume, showing off a look that produced “oooooh!” from a lot of people who were used to the comic character’s orange and green suit.
The teaser finishes up with a look we’ve seen in marketing stills, the five heroes that make up the cinematic JUSTICE LEAGUE appearing before a lowering ramp. It remains to be seen if the new trailer will finally include a look at Henry Cavill’s Superman, who has yet to be seen in any of the studio marketing material.
The trailer for JUSTICE LEAGUE debuts on March 25, 2017, with the full film debuting in theaters on November 17, 2018. It was also recently announced that Momoa’s solo AQUAMAN film has been pushed back to December 21, 2018.
