Here we go!  Sony Screen Gems and IGN is starting off our Tuesday with a bang as the company has released the first trailer to the final chapter of the RESIDENT EVIL franchise, aptly titled RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER.  A kick ass new poster for the film was also dropped today.

Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice, the ultimate bad ass as she returns to Raccoon City, in all of her grimy and motorcycle-riding awesomeness.  Alice is cautioned that humanity will cease to exist unless she returns to The Hive, and it should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the film series that Alice definitely doesn’t plan on either of those things happening.

Faced with yet another battle against some of the most gruesome monsters one could imagine, Alice decides that the only option is to “kill every last one of them”.  Atta girl, Alice!

Per Sony Screen Gems:

Picking up immediately after the events in RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, Alice (Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead.  Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

This series finale looks like an action-packed gore fest that should make the film franchise and its fans very proud.
