The best zombie survival video game series will make a triumphant return soon, as reported by Sunday Express. We haven’t seen a new entry in the series since ‘Left 4 Dead 2’ in 2009 and fans have been eagerly awaiting a fallow-up for some time. The first two games were developed be Valve and Turtle Rock but in a recent interview Turtle Rock co-founder Phil Robb relieved that they would not be working on future installments of the franchise.

“I think we’re pretty much done with it. It’s Valve’s thing now. We’ve kind of gone off in our own direction. So I’d kinda like to see something new being done with it, and Valve always does great stuff, but it’d be cool to go back to it as just a fan and not a developer. But I doubt you’ll see anything from us.”

The new details suggest a 2017 release for the anticipated fallow-up. It’s also been reported that the four new characters have been named and include a famous Kenpo fighter named Garrett Jr, a gangster named Irvin, Keenan the comic book nerd and the only female in the group known as Katherine.

It’s been previously reported that this game will be a prequel and will have six separate campaigns to choose from, including No Mercy, Cliff-Hanger, Early Destination, Crashland, Impasse and Inquisitor Land.

It will be great to see a new entry in this now legendary series after all this time. It will likely be released on the PS4, Xbox One and for PC.
