Stephen King

No-one is immune to the mind-bending fascinations of horror giant, Stephen King. There is always a certain excitement trigger when even seeing that another of his stories will soon leap from print to screen. Well, be excited because Netflix is making it happen, again!

King’s novella 1922 is a first-person account by Wilfred James, the story’s unreliable narrator. He writes a lengthy confession for the murder of his wife, Arlette, in Hemingford Home, Nebraska, in… 1922. Now, it is a bit more complex than that. Seriously, Stephen King wrote it so it should come to no surprise that lead character, and unreliable narrator Wilfred, not only murdered his wife but with the assistance of his  teenage son via the power of persuasion.

1922

Not to give a timeline of events away, lets just say a lot comes into play in the very creative style we’ve all grown to know and love from Stephen King. There is a well, dead cow cover story, perceived ghosts, infection, amputation, delusion, pregnancy, bank robberies and rats! But his version is WAY better than ours!

Hollywood Reporter confirmed Thomas Jane is playing Wilfred James, while Molly Parker is playing Arlette. Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian D’Arcy James and Neal McDonough also are starring. Ross M. Dinerstein is producing the film via his Campfire banner. The project is currently shooting in Vancouver.
