If you were a teenager in the 90’s there’s a good chance you had a crush on Selma Blair. She had the ‘Girl on Girl’ kiss with Sarah Michelle Gellar in ‘Cruel Intentions’ that wrecked many guys I know. She then joined one of the coolest movies ever in ‘Hellboy’ playing Liz Sherman.
We recently talked about the pilot order for ‘Heathers’ and now it’s in action.
She’s now signed on for a recurring role on ‘Heathers’, a new series based on the 80’s cult classic starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder. The series is being produced by Paramount Television and is set to premier in 2018.
Deadline reports that Heathers is a pitch-black comedy anthology set in the present day, as our heroine Veronica Sawyer (Grace Victoria Cox) deals with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. Blair will play Jade, described as a stripper, menthol smoker, who is rough around the edges, but with a bit of glamour to her. She’s the gold-digging stepmother to Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell), who is simply biding her time until her 82-year-old husband kicks the bucket.
James Scully, Melanie Field and Jasmine Mathews also star. Original Heathers cast member Shannen Doherty guest stars as well.
Love Selma Blair. Looking forward to the means tricks they dream up on Heathers
