It’s a sad for fans of Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and the network decides to cancel after 4 seasons. The ratings just were not strong enough for the show to continue. The news comes after the network canceled the show Rosewood yesterday in an attempt to clear the schedule for new shows in the fall.
THR reports that Co-creator Phillip Iscove announced the news on Twitter late Tuesday, calling Sleepy Hollow an “absolute dream.” “From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every actor, writer, director, producer and incredible crew on all their endless hard work. But it’s the fans that made the show truly come alive and to them I owe the biggest debt.”
The drama had been hanging on by a thread thanks to its decent international sales but in the end, even that as well as the fact that it was produced in-house wasn’t enough to save the series.
