The Passage

Vampires will return to TV on Fox as the network casts roles in the new series ‘The Passage’. Fox has cast Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the lead in the new series as well as Saniyya Sidney ( American Horror Story), (Time After Time) star Genesis Rodriguez, Brianne Howey (The Exorcist), BJ Britt (Behind Enemy Lines) and Jennifer Ferrin (Time After Time).

Ridley Scott, one of the most influential and multi-talented minds in Hollywood; is Executive Producing The Passage. The fifth pilot picked up at Fox for their 2017-2018 television season. In addition to Scott being EP, Elizabeth Heldens is scribing the series.

The Passage begins as a character-driven government conspiracy thriller and morphs into a post-apocalyptic saga with vampires. The series spans over a century and focuses on a young girl named Amy who must save the human race.

Heldens will serve as executive producer, along with Scott, David W. Zucker, Adam Kassan and Matt Reeves. Based on the book of the same name, the novel’s author Justin Cronin will serve as co-producer. Twentieth Century Fox Television is the studio, producing with Scott Free and 6th & Idaho.

The pilot shoots in Atlanta beginning this month.
