CB here for a quick recap after tuning in to “The Talking Dead” this evening for the preview special concerning the ever anticipated season 7 premiere of “The Walking Dead”. Yvette Nicole Brown and Austin Amelio (who plays Dwight on TWD) were on the couch tonight with host Chris Hardwick. The three went through everything that has taken place working up to Negan’s arrival to the show. I have to agree with something Miss Yvette said in that, “if we were not watching this show through our group’s eyes, we would be cheering Negan on at this point.” This is an interesting take on his presence. Regardless, fans are literally chomping at the bit wondering who gets “Lucilled”, and nerves are increasing. It would be a great little experiment to see statistics on Xanax prescriptions leading up to October 7th. We will inevitably have a very hard goodbye at the beginning, and we all have to prepare for it somehow. We will see new situations involving the Saviors, Carol and Morgan are off in the Kingdom with tigers and what looks like modern day knights. This season is definitely going to take the show more in the direction of the comics in this writer’s opinion. A little advice was offered from the cast this evening on how to prepare for the premiere:
Norman Reedus: “Get somebody you care about and hold their hand, you’ll probably cry, you’ll probably like smash your TV set, so, surround your room with a lot of happy things I guess.”
Chandler Riggs: “I have a couple cats at my house, you know how cats like to try and get away when you hold them too long? Yea, don’t let them go away, that’s what I’m gonna do, keep them very close.”
Melissa McBride: “It would be wiseif you have someone with you that you love, someone to hold. This premiere’s gonna be rough, there’s no way to prepare for what’s going to come, and you think you know what’s going to happen and the way it’s going to happen, you’re not prepared for what’s coming.”
Well, that does not lend itself to sweet dreams for this fan.
