‘Walking Dead’ Creator Teases Show Crossover With ‘FTHWD’ At NYCC
A virtual earthquake happened yesterday at the New York Comic Con when the cast and creatives gather for ‘The Walking Dead’ panel at Madison Square Gardens in Mid Town Manhattan. Creator Robert S. Kirkman dropped a bombshell. A Crossover bombshell between the two shows he’s created.
“There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name, This is a huge event in the world of The Walking Dead,”
He said the event would take place within the next year. That was the biggest ‘Holy S^!’ moment of the panel. The 100th episode of The Walking Dead will premier on October 22nd, 2017 and has been described a an all out war. A battle for the future.
The cast members assembled were Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Tom Payne, Katelyn Nacon, Austin Amelio and Jeffrey Dean Morgan along with creatives Greg Nicotero, Gale Anne Hurd and creator Robert Kirkman.
Exec Producer and director Greg Nicotero said –
“The first episode has a lot of nods to previous seasons,” “We’re setting the stage for our war,” Nicotero, who directed the season premier.
Andrew Lincoln said –
“This is the payoff for last season, for Rick, I think he is ready for battle.”
The also released a new clip on Twitter that played for the audience at the Con.
