This week on THE WALKING DEAD… Episode 12, ‘Say Yes,’ Recap.

We start with Rick and Michonne scavenging for guns to deliver to Jadis and the “junkyard dawgs”, complete with some sexy time, afternoon delight moments. They are of course on the lookout for other things like food…and batteries! How convenient is it that they find two guys playing golf in the middle of nowhere with a bin marked “batteries” in the back of their truck! Two guys that also have “good taste in pretzels”. In and out of those moments, they are on the road and find themselves at a carnival. It’s not all fun and games, though, even when they find the stash of RTE’s complete with chili-mac and walker soldiers carrying an arsenal that they desperately need to fight Negan and the Saviors.

There are a few harrowing moments involving the dearest of companions in the apocalypse, deer. Rick tells Michonne that he owes her one, and fails twice to follow through in this episode. The second attempt lending to Michonne believing that it is Rick, not the deer, that is being devoured…to the point that she drops her sword and almost passes out! Could this mean Rick is a point of weakness where Michonne is concerned; where her head is? Speaking of where her head is, why is Rick only taking a couple to her eight walkers to get to a car? This scene is amazing because it makes the viewer think it is the golfer’s raining bullets at them when it is a walker that got tripped up on rebar! That is the first time in TWD that a walker fired a gun!

On the flip side, this episode featured Rosita and her singular plan to eliminate Negan. She tried once, and Gabriel stopped her. We find her now, going out on her own looking for guns only to find a toy gun and a walker with so many chins a plastic surgeon would cringe. Eventually, Rosita makes her way to Sasha…asking for her help. Sasha agrees, but only if she gets to take the shot at Negan. This is SUCH a bad idea for everyone involved. The two of them may be women scorned, but they are in no position to handle the Saviors alone and get to Negan, but it looks like they are going to try. You also had Tara’s heart to heart with Judith about everything, and Oceanside…and at the end Tara telling Rick that she needed to tell him something. Could this be the final piece of the battlefront they are forming against the Saviors?

This episode is chocked full of nuggets of foreshadowing, and many of these plot lines relate to the title of this episode, “Say Yes”:
• Rick opens up to Michonne, saying that he cannot sleep because of the fact that Glenn saved him in the beginning and he could not do the same, so he finally said “yes” to allowing himself to be vulnerable again
• Rick basically tells Michonne that if she wants to rule together after Negan is gone, he will only do so with her (basically a marriage proposal), and she says “yes”
• Rosita asking Sasha, of all people, for help (you know she’s still pissed that Abraham loved Sasha), but Sasha agrees and says “yes”
• Rick and some of the group bring the guns to Jadis, while she negotiates more, she eventually says “yes”
Regardless of all of this, next week the baddest bitch, Carol is back! Keep watching!
