Tremors TV Series Adds Series Regular To SyFy Reboot
SyFy has begun casting on it’s ‘Tremors’ TV series reboot starring Kevin Bacon. Actor John Ellison Conlee has joined the cast as a series regular. He will play Harlan Maylor, a sand worm obsessed man who’s life has fallen apart. The series is based on the 1990 cult hit movie starring Kevin Bacon who will produce the series as well as star.
Deadline reports Conlee’s character Harlan is described as a scruffy mess and Valentine’s closest pal. A genius who began his adult years working for a biotech company, Harlan now dedicates himself to yoga, meditation and self-exploration. Says Syfy, Harlan was “a geeky teenager obsessed with the idea of hunting the Sandworm of Tatooine.”
Tremors will be directed by Vincenzo Natali from a script by Andrew Miller, who will also serve as showrunner and executive producer along with Bacon and David Schiff in association with Blumhouse Television.
Normally fans would be worried about turning a fan favorite movie into a series but with star Kevin Bacon aboard as star and producer the hopes are high. We hope it kicks ass.
